Via The Autistic Self Advocacy Network:

The New York Times is seeking submissions for a new book about autism, featuring the work of reporter Amy Harmon, one of thAutcast's outstanding neurotypical allies.  (Click here to read her article about autistic artist Justin Canha and here for the one about two young aspies in love.) I echo the sentiment expressed by ASAN, that it is especially important that adults with autism submit our stories, but they also want to hear from you if you are "a parent, sibling, romantic interest, co-worker, or teacher."

Go here for the submission form:

What do you wish someone had told you about life with autism?

My advice here is very simple.  You can become a better writer by working at it: trying to convey an idea that is important to you, through writing, to someone else, and doing that fairly often.  If you do that, your writing will get better.  You should do this, because writing well will increase your personal power, and because it will enable you to take full advantage of opportunities like the one above.
